12 Hour Paediatric & Infant First Aid

Baby and Child First Aid (2 day course). First aid course specialising in dealing with an injured child. The course covers the common day to day grazes and bumps to choking & resuscitation, practiced on infant size manikins. This course is aimed at giving attendees the confidence to tackle a wide range of emergency situations without being confused by convoluted methods and technical jargon.

This course meets OFSTED requirements and is tailored to the specific needs of Nursery staff and Childminders. This two-day (12 hour) course is delivered at your venue, by a paediatric specialist and includes both theory and practical sessions.

 Courses can be delivered at your workplace.

Course Content:
Delegates will receive training in a range of First Aid subjects, including:

Incident Management, Unconscious Casualty, Resuscitation, Choking, Asthma, Bleeding & Shock Management, Epilepsy & Convulsions,  Head Injuries, Fractures, Drowning, Sickness,  Diarrhoea & Vomiting, Heat Exhaustion, Poisoning, Sickle Cell, Meningitis, Respiratory Infections, Bites, Eye Injuries, Burns & Scalds, Soft tissue injuries, Anaphylactic Shock.

**The Anaphylaxis and Epi-pen Training can be added onto this course for just £5 per person.

Course Outcome:
On completion of the course all successful candidates will receive a recognised first aid certificate meeting the full requirements of the Health & Safety Act (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and Approved by Surestart/Ofsted. Vaild for 3 years.

12 hours over 2 days
