Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training
This course can be delivered at your place of work/office.
An AED is a small, compact device that interprets heart rhythms and can deliver electrical shocks to treat sudden cardiac arrest.
AEDs are very simple to operate. You don’t need to recognize or interpret heart rhythms, because the AED does that automatically. They use clear, natural voice instructions that guide the user through each step.
Who is this course suitable for?
This course is designed to give your company first aider (s) the knowledge and expertise to use this life saving piece of equipment.
Syllabus includes training in;
• Basic anatomy and physiology of the heart
• Heart conditions
• Resuscitation
• CPR protocols
• Use of AED
The Duration
4 hours normally over 1 day alternative options are available, weekend and evening courses can be arranged *an additional charge may be implemented for weekend and evening courses* please speak to one of our advisors.
Assessment
Full attendance of the course is required with a practical scenario exam and a short multiple-choice test paper at the end of the day. Successful candidates will receive a certificate valid for 3 year.
